Because I know you care so much, here's the weekend recap. I've got a lot more to say, but this will have to do for now. It's a crazy time at work. Friday: Among other things, I played in a poker tournament. I got eliminated when I went all-in with my A-K suited against pocket queens on the first hand at the final table. Suffice it to say, neither a sufficient amount of diamonds nor an Ace or King came up, and I was eliminated from the final table so fast my head was spinning. Seriously, it all happened just like that, and I usually remember the big hands clearly. This hand, however, was all a blur. We ended up playing cash games after that, which turned out to be a lot more fun, until a few drunk people started taking forever to play. I nearly lost it, seriously. It's Monday, you know the routine. Here's the weekend recap: Friday: I take little consolation in the fact that I was the best-dressed person in the trasher bar. It was fucking F'ing P's birthday, though, so I should have remembered to dress appropriately. We had the Pistons brawl on the big screen. Don't the assholes at the Palace realize how much damage they do to our entire city with a stunt like that? Ron Artest has plenty of time to promote that rap album now. I hope his record sales cover his lost wages, fines and the shitload of money he's going to have to pay out once people start suing him. Saturday: Ashley's party was a blast, although the hoodrats with the dirty mustaches kind of got on my nerves. I can't say I was surprised to hear that she was hitting on them. I love her dearly, but damn. It's been such a hectic day around here, this update has taken me six hours to complete....I'm not sure if it's God smiling down on me a little bit (I'd prefer to think he'd have better things to do with his time), but ever since EB and I broke up, I've been the man at the card table. I ended up winning most of the pot last night and although I've taken some bad beats to wrap up card night the last couple times around, my luck in general has been pretty darn good. I just wish he'd shine some of that luck down on me at the hockey rink. We're in the middle of Book of Lists time at work, which means it's quite insane around here these days. I wish I had a little more time for my regular duties, I really hate calling people trying to cull information from them. So I'm divided between a couple of different things to do this Saturday. Friday: Hanging out with Hooters girls was fun, not to mention there are some great pictures of the night. If I never go back to Malarkey's, my life will be complete, there was more sausage in that bar than a Pizza Hut store room. I did my best to avoid the big-headed girl. I did so successfully, shifted the ball to her court and haven't heard back since. It's going to suck next time I have to call TAC Automotive for something though. I've got all the tunes from the mix tapes on iTunes finally. I had to buy all of the songs off the actual tapes EB made me, so $45 later, I think I have a complete collection. I didn't think about the DRM stuff and shortsightedly downloaded it all to my work computer. D'oh! Most of the tunes weren't a problem, as I still have the cases with all the song titles and artists. The very first mix tape she made me, however, doesn't have a case. I don't know if it ever did. The problem is, there were a lot of songs on there I can sing word-for-word, but have no idea who sings it or what it's called. Thank goodness for lyrics on demand. Now I know that Barenaked Ladies sing that creepy song about wrapping my hands around someone's neck. I thought I didn't, but it's become clear the last couple days that I still miss her. Holy crap, what a weekend! All right, so I lied about not writing here anymore. Let me tell you about my weekend... My weekend was exhausting. Friday I went to Kalamazoo to hang out with a friend from college. The night was crazy. We drank at several bars downtown. My Republican counterpart Marin (who works with James Van Der Beek) got cut off at a couple of the bars. Keep in mind, this was well after she flicked her hair band at another guy at our table, missing him, hitting the wall, bouncing back, hitting me in the head and dropping into my drink. Never one to waste a good glass of bourbon, I removed the hair band and finished my drink. She bought me another and a shot to compensate. So after all the bars, we ended up at some college party store to get supplies before going to James Van Der Beek's friend Tim's apartment. I can be a talkative guy, which sometimes gets me into awkward situations. Never is this more true than when I've had a few beverages.
