So I just spent the last two weeks in lovely, frigid, Canada. The best words I've heard in many, many days was when the customs agent in Ottawa said "Welcome back to the USA." Simply amazing.
Michelle and I were in the Ottawa airport, waiting for our flight to Chicago. Yeah, that's right, we went from PEI to Ottawa to Chicago to Detroit. Freaking exhausting.
Anyway, we're sitting there eating and we see these bimbos with fake tans trying to grab some food quickly before they hop on their plane to Orlando (spring break, wooooo!) Anyway, they ask if they can pay with American money and the waitress says "Yeah, you can pay with American money, but you'll get Canadian change." I don't know why that was so funny to me, but it was.
Anyway, I was in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Here are a few interesting things about the maritime province best known as the home of Anne of Green Gables.
- Traffic lights are different shapes. Green is round, yellow is diamond and red is a square. This is for people who are color blind. Or, colour blind, I suppose.
