Ho, Ho, No.

I managed to avoid my family Christmas party today. My brother and cousin Andy were supposed to come but bailed at the last second, so I bailed as well. I used to be quite close with two of my cousins who were to be there, but they have long since married and had children. It’s a bit hard to relate anymore and the last few times I’ve seen them the conversation has been a bit forced. Without anyone else, I would be sitting doing nothing all day, and hell, I don’t have to drive all the way to Flint to feel lonely and out of place.

So rather than spend time with my family, I chose to come into work. I’m working on a Web site that is to include a blog, reviews, pictures, menus and advertising space for Detroit-area restaurants. A former reporter here at CDB is hoping to launch the site soon, and I’ve been so busy until now that I’ve just been putting it off for what seems like forever.

Other than that, not a whole hell of a lot is going on around here. Beaker wants to move in, which would be fine. I could handle living with him. Loc is interested too, which means we would have to find a three bedroom townhouse or something, which again, wouldn’t be a problem. The problem comes with Do wanting to join us. Four people means a house, and I’m not exactly sure what we can find. I’m afraid Beaker and Do have a little bit of an unrealistic idea of what we can get on the cheap on the West side. Beaker’s got a deadline though, so I’m sure he’ll come up with something soon.
